I coulda been a contenda…

Truth be told, we ARE in fact contenders. Today, we entered our very own Big Bertha Munich Dunkel into Inquisition, a homebrew competition organized by homebrew club Austin ZEALOTS

Big Bertha is a bronze-brown, malty lager with a full and rich mouthfeel, enough carbonation to keep it from miring you in syrupy sweetness, and a pleasant, earthy hop finish to balance out each drink to the bottom of the glass. In fact, at around 5% alcohol by volume (ABV), it’s easier than it ought to be to get to the bottom of more than one of these in a sitting.

As you can tell, we think highly of Big Bertha, and we’re hopeful that something good will come of this experience. If nothing else, we’ll probably get some constructive criticism from the beer judges. Judging takes place July 20th, 2013.

On a side note, I’ve just received a text message from my office admin Kendall telling me that she and our former office principal Gary are currently drinking Big Berthas. I’ll have to return to this post to let you know how they AND the official judges liked them!
